The distance learning programme MBA Intelligent Enterprise Management comprises the following contents:
1st semester
- Management-Framework
- Communication & Soft Skills for Leadership
- Marketing Politics and Strategy
2nd semester:
- Performance and Financial Management
- Marketing: Market Research & Customer Management
- Management: Economics & Quantitative Analysis
3rd semester:
- Digital Transformation and Digital Technologies
- Digital Transformation and Sustainability
- Digital Transformation and Business Models
4th semester:
- International Master Thesis Seminar
- Master Thesis and colloquium
Postgraduates (applicants holding a first academic university degree):
- completed academic degree, grade point average of 2.5 (German grading system) or better, 210 ECTS; and
- qualified professional experience of at least 1 year after the first academic degree; and
- documentary proof of English language skills equating at least with level B2 (CEFR) or equivalent
Applicants with a grade less than required have to take part in a motivational interview with the course director.
Applicants with less than 210 ECTS credits have various options to acquire the missing ECTS credits during the MBA programme.
Applicants without a university degree:
Under certain conditions, applicants without a first university degree may be admitted to the programme by taking an aptitude test. Admission to the aptitude test requires:
- university entrance qualification + relevant professional experience of at least 3 years + documentary proof of English language skills equating at least with level B2 (CEFR) or equivalent; or
- Bachelor Professional (‘Meisterprüfung’ or comparable examination at the second level of vocational training, e.g. Fachwirt, Fachkaufmann, staatlich geprüfter Techniker) + relevant professional experience of at least 1 year + documentary proof of English language skills equating at least with level B2 (CEFR) or equivalent; or
- Master Professional (third level professional qualifications) + documentary proof of English language skills equating at least with level B2 (CEFR) or equivalent. After completing the Master Professional, no further work experience is required for admission to the aptitude test.
The Master's programme comprises a workload of 90 ECTS credits. After successful completion, the internationally recognised academic degree Master of Business Administration (MBA) is awarded.
This course of studies can also be taken as a certificate programme or on a modular basis.
Tuition fees are 2100 € per semester for the 1st - 4th semester.
In addition, there is a social contribution of about € 149 each semester, which Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences requests separately, and a one-time fee of € 8 for the issuing of the student ID card.
Not included are the costs for retakes of exams of 50 €, the expenses for the Master Thesis seminar and, if the standard period of study is exceeded, from the 6th semester onwards, a contribution of 800 € per semester. In case the Master's thesis has to be repeated additional costs of 550 € will be incurred.

details and procedure
The Master's programme comprises four semesters including a thesis semester. It takes place on a part-time basis with the help of study materials and learning software as well as three attendance sessions per semester. An out-of-campus event is scheduled in the fourth semester. The Master's thesis is also written in the fourth semester.
This programme is offered by the Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences, Zweibrücken, in cooperation with the zfh and is accredited by the German Accreditation Council/ Stiftung Akkreditierungsrat.

Admission is possible in either summer semesters or winter semesters
Annual application periods:
- for the summer semester: beginning of November until 31st January
- for the winter semester: beginning of May until 31st July
